Ottawa International Game Conference (OIGC), 29-31 May, 2013

The Ottawa International Game Conference (OIGC) showcases the innovations and emerging trends in the Ottawa and Canadian gaming industry.

The Second Annual OIGC is set to take place on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 - Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Ottawa Convention Centre. Founded by a consortium of game studios in 2012, the Second Annual OIGC will bring together the geek developers, whisky drinking business types, and artsy creative’s. Keynote speakers will blow minds, dynamic panels may turn into shouting matches, exhibitors will give away tons of SWAG, and the parties are going to make us wish handheld cameras were never invented.

OIGC 2013 is a must-attend event for game developers, artists, students, industry recruiters, and the players who live, eat and breath everything game-related. OIGC 2013…Let the games begin!

Video Games and Digital Media Conference, 10 June, Los Angeles, CA USA

The American Bar Association presents a 1-day Video Games and Digital Media Conference, happening in conjunction with E3!

Hours: 08:45 - 19:00

Topics include the following:
● cross-media exploitation of game properties, 
● current issues related to data privacy, 
● how traditional gaming is responding to the new frontier of mobile and social gaming,

Web Game Conference, 19-20 June, Paris, France

The Web Game Conference is the conference for leaders and innovators of the web, social and mobile game industry, organized by the SNJV, France's Videogame trade Association. This annual conference hosted for the first time this year at Microsoft France, brings together european industry leaders to discuss, collaborate, and share advancements about design, business, community and legal areas of online game development and publishing.

The Web Game Conference features one day of web, social and mobile game development lectures, roundtables, renowned local and international industry speakers and meetings. It is the sole place to enhance your knowledge of the social and browser games european market.

4th Web Game Conference will take place at Microsoft's building in the south of Paris (Issy-les-Moulineaux)  on June 19th and 20th, 2013. Q-ED, 28-30 June, Belfast, Northern Ireland

Q-ED is a one-day conference of industry talks and panels taking place during the Q-Con games convention in Belfast.  Q-Con XIX (last year) was one of the UK and Ireland's largest games conventions with over 2,200 people attending throughout the weekend.  

 
Q-Con XX will be running from the 28th to the 30th of June, and is a great opportunity for gamers, fans, and designers alike to meet, greet, and compete.  Many of this year's Q-ED speakers have been confirmed, including veterans of mobile gaming, illustration, and movie CGI - more details are available at http://www.q-con.org.uk/node/38
